The Cupcake Conception

Expecting a 2010 Baby Cupcake!

18 Weeks: Ginormous Boobage

My boobs are huge. I woke up this morning and stopped in the mirror before showering and said, “OH MY LORD,” out loud to myself and cupped them in my hands.

It’s not like they’re huge in comparison to yours… so don’t start getting all competitive on me. They’re huge in comparison to mine… my small B cups have become medium-sized C cups and I don’t know what to do with them, really. They just like… sit there… and look full & perky.

I am enjoying it, because they will probably be shaped like pancakes after the pregnancy (sorry if yours already are. Kisses.)

Moving on.

I’m 18 weeks pregnant today. Two weeks away from being HALFWAY FINISHED. AHAHAHAHA YESSSSSSS.

I’m over it. I want to meet her. I want to see her tiny face. I want to make plans for her.

I like being pregnant but I don’t like being pregnant… I don’t know how else to explain it. I don’t like having to remember to take vitamins, not eat certain things, eat other certain things, get enough sleep, lay on my side, not be around chemicals, etc. etc. etc.

It’s just too much to think about, really. It’s a full-time job by itself!

The parts I like about it? That I’m providing a cozy little home for our baby. The way it feels when she moves gently. My cute belly sticking out. Seeing her on ultrasound. Mr. WC sending me pictures of nurseries he thinks are cute.

Those things all make it bearable… even enjoyable… dare I say it.

People have started buying her stuff. I will eventually post pictures, but I wanted to say thanks to Rachie, Courtney, and Jess – all of whom have bought or sent along clothes for the little one! Right now all of her stuff is laying in the guest room, strewn about wildly.

We are still working on a name. We go back & forth and I’ve been sticking pretty firmly with one of them for the past week, so we’ll see if Mr. WC decides he likes it as much as I do.

I’m tired and want to lay on my back. And I want to show off my boobs.

  1. Well at least you like your new physique. i cant stand mine. im not pregnant. just on the pill. and my chest has gone from a regular B to a VERY full C. i absolutely hate it. i wouldnt mind it so much if at “the end” of it i got to have a baby. but for now im good with the whole net pregnant thing because my stepmother is. so i get the whole take care of a baby and then give them back when they get fussing thing going on. im excited. good luck with your little one.

  3. Hey girlie, i loved my boobs when i was preggers, I would say the hubby liked them too when i would let him see them or touch them, they hurt all the time, i didn’t want to shower, or get dressed, or anything i wanted to lay in bra all day long cause it hurt to take it off. But my size A cup went to a very full D, i wish they would have stayed. however, shortly after the birth they were back down to their normal size. not a normal thing, so i hope you get to enjoy yours long after the little one is here.

  4. lucky. my boobs didn’t grow throughout my entire pregnancy. i remained a 36B. then, after engorgement and breastfeeding, i am now sporting a nice 34C. i’m enjoying them while i can. i know they’ll be pancakes after breastfeeding. any stretch marks yet?

  5. I was pretty shocked when my milk came in. They went from 32A pre pregnancy, to 32B mid pregnancy and to a 32C when the milk came in. From someone who basically had nipples before hand, 32C was a big difference…

  6. I have to join this boob discussion. Heh. Before kids, I was a 32DD (yes, for serious, I was built like ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ era Jennifer Love Hewitt: really tiny, huge chest). When I was breastfeeding Eli, I was like a 34F. Then, after breastfeeding: 34D. Breasfeeding Addie: 34E. Post-Addie: 34B+/C. So mine actually got smaller by a whole cup size after I weaned each kid. BUT. The good news is that they totally did not pancake out; they look exactly like teenage boobs but in a smaller package. And a lot of my friends kept their pregnant bra sizes. So don’t give up hope– they could be huge/awesome FOREVER. :-D

  7. Becca, I’m a 32DD too! It stinks because it’s so hard to find bras, they seem to think if you’re a DD cup you must be bigger than 32 around, heh. I’m glad to know your boobs survived breastfeeding, I’ve always wondered how mine will end up when the time comes.

  8. Yay for big pregnancy boobs! :)

Mark tells me mine are bigger. They’re *fuller* but not bigger. I’m still wearing a 38B (I hate that size lol) but I’m definitely filling it out more nicely ;) To Mark though, they’re huge.. so as long as he likes them, I guess lol. I don’t know what to think about after breastfeeding though. My mom always blamed her pancake boobs on breastfeeding three kids (Sorry if that grosses anyone out. It grosses me out a little bit too ;) ) I’d hate to have to gather my boobs up just to put them in the bra. Yikes! But hey, I’m willing to take that chance if breastfeeding works for us :)

You should definitely share more pictures :-D Oh and yes, pictures of things you’re receiving so I can be sure nobody has bought what I’ve been wanting to buy -lol. I love girl stuff so if we’re not having a girl, I might be buying a lot of it to send to you. (None of Mark’s cousins say what they’re having until, well, they’ve had him or her. And nobody gets a baby shower after the first baby – boo!)

  9. Unfortunately the vitamins and watching what you eat continues because of breastfeeding! Luckily, just like with pregnancy, the cute little baby things make it worth it. :)
